This page explains what gets stored on your device when you open allportugalsmartacademy.com, why it is there, and how to change your mind. It is short on purpose.

What a cookie is

A cookie is a small text file a website saves in your browser. It may hold the fact that you are signed in, the class you were about to book, or your answer to the cookie question. The same rules apply to related technologies: browser local storage and tracking pixels.

The rule we work by

Article 5 of Lei n.º 41/2004, the Portuguese law on privacy in electronic communications, as amended by Lei n.º 46/2012, is blunt about it. Storing anything on your device, or reading anything already stored there, requires your prior consent, given after clear and complete information. One narrow exception exists: what is technically necessary to transmit a message or to deliver a service you asked for yourself.

Consent as a legal basis sits in article 6(1)(a) GDPR. Article 7(1) puts the burden on us to demonstrate that consent was given. Article 7(3) lets you withdraw it at any moment, and withdrawing must be as easy as giving.

Who shows the consent window

The window you see on arrival is Usercentrics for Wix, provided by Usercentrics GmbH in Germany, which acts as our processor. It carries a decline button, it appears for every visitor rather than only for visitors in the European Union, and it keeps a record of what you chose.

The categories in that window

Essential. These make the site open, forms submit, sessions stay secure. They cannot be switched off, and the law does not require consent for them.

Functional. These remember your preferences so you do not set the same thing twice. They load with your consent.

Analytical. These show which pages people read and where they stop. They load with your consent.

Marketing. Advertising and retargeting tools, including embedded content from other platforms. They load with your consent.

You may also see a technical category called Unknown. That is how the consent service labels anything its scan could not place.

What is actually on this site

We would rather show you the state of our knowledge than a tidy list we cannot stand behind. There are three levels here.

Confirmed by the automated scan of 20 August 2026. Exactly one component came back: Usercentrics for Wix, essential, which stores the record of your consent. That result is incomplete, and we are saying so plainly. The scan did not even find the core Wix platform files that exist on every Wix site and were found on our other sites. The likely reason is narrow coverage: the scanner appears to have walked a single page and caught very little.

Confirmed by direct inspection of the live pages. The core Wix platform files are present, technically XSRF-TOKEN and bSession. They are essential: they hold your session and protect forms against cross-site request forgery. The same inspection found no third-party resources on the site at all. As of today there are no advertising or analytics trackers here.

Not yet confirmed. Some components appear only on certain pages, or only after you do something: booking a class, signing in to your account, submitting a form. They are essential to the action you started, and they arrive because you started it. The scan has not yet named them as separate line items, so we are not going to list them as if it had.

For completeness, here is what we expect those components to be, marked as expectation and not as measurement: the member account session, which appears once you sign in; group conversations and shared class files, which inherit that session; the chat window, if you open it; the booking session and the draft appointment, while you are booking; event pages and registration; blog navigation and view counting; and the files that tie a form, an invoice and a payment together when you submit or pay. Stripe, our payment provider, identifies your device during payment as a fraud check. Video playback depends on where a given video is hosted. None of this has been measured on this site yet, and we are not going to present it as if it had been.

A manual rescan inside Wix is available once a month. The next one for this site is due on 18 September 2026, and this page will be updated with what it returns.

Your account and class booking

Schedules and class materials open only after you sign in. Before sign-in, the files behind those sections do not appear at all. After sign-in they are essential: they are your session, and without one the site cannot tell you apart from another parent. Sign out and the session ends.

When you book a class, the site holds a draft of your booking in your browser so your choice survives the steps between selecting a time and confirming it.

About your child

Cookies are not how we handle information about your child. What we collect about a child, and why, is set out in our Privacy Policy: /privacy-policy

Who receives the data

Wix.com Ltd., the platform this site is built on, processing on our instructions.

Usercentrics GmbH in Germany, which collects and keeps consent records.

Stripe, our payment provider, if you pay for a class here. Full payment credentials stay with the provider. We neither receive nor store them.

Some of these companies may process data outside the European Union. Those transfers rely on European Commission adequacy decisions and on standard contractual clauses under Chapter V GDPR.

How long the consent record is kept

Three years, then it is deleted. Change your choice in the meantime and a new record replaces the old one.

Changing your mind

Any time, no reason required.

In the banner: the Cookie settings button at the bottom of the screen reopens the window you saw the first time.

In your browser: every browser lets you delete stored files and block new ones. Look under Privacy or Site settings.

Withdrawal works going forward. It does not undo what happened while the consent was valid.

Your rights

You can ask for access to your data, for correction or deletion, for processing to be restricted, for your data in a portable format, and you can object to processing. Those are articles 15 to 22 GDPR. Write to smart@allportugalsmartacademy.com and we will answer within the one month set by article 12(3) GDPR.

If you believe we handled something badly, you can complain to the Portuguese supervisory authority: Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados, www.cnpd.pt
